RADFEST 2021

We are really sad to announce that Radfest music festival 2021, due to take place in June, will not be held again this year. It is clear that despite our very best and most hopeful wishes, the pandemic is still very much with us, and we are mindful of the need to ensure that we act in the best interests of the Radcliffe (and surrounding) community. Although June may seem a while away yet, planning for an event of the scale of Radfest would normally be well underway at this point. Equally, we would have to begin to commit to spend that, given the current situation, would be unlikely to be recoverable if the Festival was unable to go ahead due to local or national restrictions. The cancellation of Radfest for a second year is hugely disappointing for all of the committee, and we also feel for our artists, catering, bar & entertainment suppliers who continue to face further months without events such as this. Most of all, we are so sad for the young people of our community; they are the reason Radfest exists, and are our priority as we plan the event each year, and they continue to be affected so deeply by this global crisis. We do hope that, as time progresses and summer arrives, some of the other Radcliffe-On-Trent annual events are able to go ahead, so that as a community we can come together again. Until then, we thank you all for your support, and look forward to better times ahead. Let’s mark Radfest 2022 in the calendar with a hopeful and optimistic pen! With love from all the Radfest committee.

#TeenTent

New for 2019 was a silent disco and beat box workshop in the Teen Tent.  The   Teen Tent will be coming again and will be a place where you can meet the bands, play on the open mic stage or just chill out on a bean bag!  Watch this space for further Teen Tent News!

Our student journalist worked hard interviewing the bands fresh off the main stage. Check out the band previews from previous years and if this is something you are interested in for 2020, please get in touch!
